Yes, no, and maybe! You may think you remember it all and were alert and fully conscious, yet if asked if you remember a particular event, maybe arm levitation, or a suggestion to wipe your brow, you'll be sure it never happened. You could be going about your business later that day or a few days later and recall something that you hadn't even remembered. It's like forgetting to remember, or remembering to forget!

Amnesia, memory lapse, after a session occasionally happens. Sometimes the hypnotherapist may suggest that you forget the whole session, and this may happen. But this is the exception and not the rule. Most hypnotherapists want you to be aware of the session and all that has transpired.

You should be aware of everything around you, and remember most, if not everything that has happened during a session. You may find that you remember the session better than any previous conversation. This is because your mind is in such a focused and wide-opened state.
